My name is Alexis and I established Puget Hound Grooming in 2020.
Growing up I lived with 12 dogs and over 15 cats. I’ve spent most of my time caring, living, and working with animals which is why I chose a career in the pet industry. Grooming was my childhood dream and I am beyond excited to live out that dream and service the dogs in Seattle.

In 2014 I began my career in the grooming industry bathing dogs and moved on to grooming in 2015. After working in four different salons, both box stores and mom & pop shops, I began grooming in Bellevue at a home daycare. Dogs were already comfortable in the space and there were little to no behavioral issues. I believe that this is due to the lack of distractions that a store provides and my capacity to focus on the dog while being able to incorporate positive reinforcement. I was then inspired to create a positive experience for the dogs I work with.

Grooming alone in a quiet space gives me the ability to bond with your dog and work with their individual needs. My goal is to build trust with each dog and provide them with a sense of safety through positive reinforcement and desensitization.
